The Graphics Agent for Windows must be assigned a valid PCoIP session license before it will work. Until you've registered it, you can't connect to the desktop using a Anyware client.
You receive a registration code when you purchase a pool of licenses from HP. Each registration code can be used multiple times; each use consumes one license in its pool.
Before you proceed with installation, a few prerequisites must be met.
These instructions assume you have already built the remote desktop machine, and that the machine meets the agent's requirements.
The Anyware Agent installs at the system level and is available to all users. You must have administrator privileges to install it.
You can download the installer directly onto the machine, or download it separately and transfer it yourself.
The installer can be downloaded here.
Before installing the Anyware Agent, you need to install the correct driver for your configured GPUs. RDP into your machine and then proceed with the installation instructions below.
Xencelabs Pen Displays are supported in the locally terminated mode, where peripheral data is processed locally at the Software Client. It is also supported in the bridged mode, where peripheral data is sent to the desktop for processing.
Support is available when a connection is initiated from any Client to a Windows Graphics or Standard agent.
USB webcams are supported between the Graphics Agent for Windows and Anyware Software Clients for Windows or Linux. Webcams can be used with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other conferencing applications running on the remote desktop.
The Graphics Agent for Windows supports Wacom tablets in two configurations: bridged, where peripheral data is sent to the desktop for processing, and locally terminated, where peripheral data is processed locally at the Anyware client.
Anyware agents support USB devices attached to Anyware clients. Administrators can set rules governing allowed and disallowed devices, device classes, or device protocols.
Important: USB support is enabled by default
The following Tangent panels are supported when connecting from a Windows or Linux software client to a Windows or Linux agent (both 23.04 or higher).
