What is the session disconnect timeout for a PCoIP session?
Answer:
A PCoIP protocol session is disconnected after a period of network inactivity that is dependent on the client type and configuration settings. This includes settings for:
- PCoIP Zero Clients: 30 seconds (default) of no network communication
- PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards: 30 seconds (default) of no network communication
- HP Anyware PCoIP Agent: 60 second of no network communication
- PCoIP Software Client: 60 second of no network communication
- VMware Horizon View Clients: 60 seconds of of no network communication
Note: HP Anyware has session resume functionality that will restore the session after network interruption.
This includes inactivity in either direction (host to client, or client to host packet traffic) on the network.
Network inactivity could be due to various issues:

Network connectivity (including network disconnect, intrusion protection activation that blocks PCoIP traffic, network congestion that blocks PCoIP traffic for more than 30 seconds, spanning tree, etc.)
- Firewall that blocks UDP traffic after high and prolonged flows of packets.
