Knowledge Base Article Announcement Remote Workstation Card Zero Clients

We are pleased to announce the general availability for download of the following PCoIP Zero Client and Remote Workstation Card firmware, agents and software.

  • PCoIP Zero Client Firmware 21.01
  • PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Firmware 21.01
  • PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux and Windows 21.01
  • PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Agent for Linux and Windows 21.01

Teradici recommends to always run a supported version to stay updated with the latest security updates.

Updated support information for specific versions can be found on our Product Lifecycle page.
Current support states are:

  • General Support: 21.01
  • Technical Guidance: 20.10
  • All other versions are End of Support

Helpful tips when upgrading to newer firmware: KB-1144 has been updated to help with upgrading firmware from older versions.

Details on the new releases are as follows:

PCoIP Zero Client Firmware 21.01

  • Security updates
  • Removed support for any ciphers that use RSA for key exchange
    • Only ciphers that use ECDHE/DHE for key exchange are now supported
    • Important: When connecting to Remote Workstation Card, the Zero Client 21.01 can only connect to Remote Workstation Card 21.01 or later (due to the cipher suite updates mentioned above)
  • Hardening of our Crypto module

Firmware 21.01 has been tested with VMware Horizon View 7.13 and 8.0 (2006) and will be submitted for certification for Horizon View 8.1 (2012).

PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Firmware 21.01

  • Security updates
  • Removed support for any ciphers that use RSA for key exchange
    • Only ciphers that use ECDHE/DHE for key exchange are now supported
    • Important: When upgrading the Remote Workstation Card to version 21.01, the Zero Client also needs to be updated to 21.01 (due to the cipher suite updates mentioned above)
      • Note: Both Software Client versions 20.10 and 21.01 will connect to Remote Workstation Card with firmware 21.01

No major changes to the Remote Workstation Card software and agents (new versions are for compatibility with 21.01).
